Redmond, WA, U.S.A., September 16, 2015 – Zetron, a leading mission-critical communications systems provider based in Redmond, WA, raised $30,000 at its fifth annual “Shoot for the Stars” golf tournament to benefit Behind the Badge Foundation September 2, 2015, at The Golf Club in Newcastle, WA. Behind the Badge is an organization that honors and assists Washington State’s injured and fallen law-enforcement officers and their families. This brings to $95,000 the total that the annual event has raised for Behind the Badge over the last five years. Highlights of this year’s tournament included the participation of over 100 first responders and law-enforcement personnel, and celebrity sports figures Slick Watts, Jim Zorn, Nesby Glasgow, Randall Morris, and Alonzo Mitz. Q13 FOX news anchor and host of Washington’s Most Wanted, David Rose, again served as master of ceremonies as he has done every year since the tournament’s inception. Elite sponsors of this year’s event included Alaska Airlines, Avanti Markets, Completely Floored, Direct Travel, Directors Mortgage, GeoConex, Kenwood U.S.A., Lockheed Martin, Symmetry Electronics, Tait Communications, and TeleCommunication Systems.
“This tournament keeps gaining momentum and becoming more successful each year,” said Zetron president and CEO, Ellen O’Hara. “It’s very gratifying to see the ways in which Zetron and our partners, friends, and community come together to give back to law-enforcement in such a meaningful way.
