Rugged Base Station / Repeater

Rugged, modular and built to thrive in the world’s toughest radio sites

MT Series sets the standard

Zetron’s MT Series modular repeater/base station and VHF receiver sets the standard for mission critical radio infrastructure. Delivering industry-leading low power consumption, modular flexibility, and standards-based interoperability for remote, isolated and extreme environment deployments, the MT Series provides a reliable and scalable foundation for your infrastructure.

Land Mobile Radio MT-4 Series
Designed For

Analog, P25 & mixed-mode networks

MT Series delivers reliability in regions where terrain, weather and limited power make other systems fail. The modular architecture supports nearly any conventional configuration—cross-band, dual-channel, DFSI, voting and simulcast—while offering exceptional interoperability across VHF, UHF and 700/800/900 MHz bands. Explore the MT-Series options.

What's New in MT Site Manager

The new MT-5 Site Manager interface gives operators complete visibility and control across every MT-Series deployment. Through a single, intuitive software layer, Site Manager streamlines setup, tuning, diagnostics and future firmware upgrades—reducing manual intervention, minimizing field visits and eliminating hours of configuration toil.

IP based programming of MT-4E/Z RF modules, including frequencies, tones and NACs.

Optional firmware capability for P25 DFSI, that meets TIA-102.BAHA standards.

Optional remote web browser monitoring of radio system alarm points, voltages and external inputs.

Option to interface P25 GPS / AVL data to Zetron’s MAX CAD or open source RabbitMQ Message Broker for connection to most mapping systems (e.g., Google Earth, ArcGIS and others).

Planned releases for increased monitoring, programming, configuration and capabilities in both MT-4E/Z and MT-5 systems.

Latest Modular Technology

MT-5

The MT-5 Series is the latest modular platform for repeaters, base stations, and crossband and linked systems. It will be released in stages, with backward compatibility to MT-4E/Z products maintained throughout. Key features of the MT-5 subrack and utility module include:

Backwards / forwards compatibility

Fully functional with all MT-4E/Z transmitter and receiver modules, as well as control cards, and all future MT-5 RF modules and controllers.

Power efficiency improvements

When used with MT-4E/Z products, the standby current draw of the modules is reduced by 5-25%.

Greater DC power input protection

The MT-5 system is protected against supply voltage swings of +60 Vdc to -60 Vdc without blowing fuses or protection diodes.

Expanded I/O connections

Fully functional with all MT-4E/Z transmitter and receiver modules, as well as control cards, and all future MT-5 RF modules and controllers.

Programming & configuration enhancements

Utilizing CAN FD internally in the subrack for expanded IP-based programming and configuration of radio site design implementation.

Easy testing and tuning

Optional utility module for simpler setup, maintenance, and radio system testing and re-tuning.

found at thousands of radio sites

MT-4E / MT-4Z

Our MT-4E Series products can be found at thousands of radio sites working as repeaters / base stations, crossband and linked systems operating as a whole network of communications infrastructure, providing coverage into the most challenging terrains. Key features include:

Low current

Industry leading specifications for current draw, meaning it’s ideal for DC-powered sites, particularly those in remote areas relying on solar power.

Modular and customizable

The MT-4E consists of hot-swap capable RF and control modules that are arranged in 19” rack-mount housing to create a multitude of different repeater and base station system configurations to suit any communications need.

Multiple frequency bands

The MT-4E radio modules are available in VHF, UHF, 700, 800 and 900 MHz frequency bands.

Open standards compliant

Designed with full compliance to industry standards such as Project 25 (P25) and various TIA published standards, allowing for interoperability with other compliant third-party products.

Three year standard warranty

Backed by a three year standard warranty, providing unrivaled customer support.

Updated VHF Receiver

The MT-4Z VHF receiver

The MT-4Z VHF receiver is an incremental update of the MT-4E VHF receiver, and offers the same reliability, low current draw and capability as the MT-4E, only now in a fully software defined radio module. It now offers the ability to adjust the receiver frequency across the entire VHF band (136-174MH) without having to physically access the pre-selector. The MT-4Z receiver is fully backwards compatible with all MT-4E subracks and modules.
