Zetron’s Annual “Shoot for the Stars” Charity Golf and Auction Raises $51,000 for Families of Fallen Law Enforcement Officers in Washington State

More than $400,000 has been raised over 11 years by the charity event

Redmond, Washington – October 10, 2023 – Zetron, a global leader in integrated mission critical communications technology, today announced the company’s annual Shoot for the Stars charity golf and auction held on August 31, 2023 at The Golf Club at Newcastle raised $51,000 for the Behind the Badge Foundation. The foundation provides comprehensive support to Washington State’s law enforcement agencies, families and communities after an officer has died or suffered serious injury in the line of duty. Over 11 years, Zetron Shoot for the Stars events have raised more than $400,000 for the foundation.

On October 10, 2023, Zetron will host a luncheon at it’s new global headquarters building in Redmond, WA (USA) to celebrate this year’s fundraising event. During the luncheon, many of Zetron’s employee event volunteers will be joined by representatives from the Behind the Badge Foundation, as well as members of local law enforcement and media, as Zetron’s President and Executive Manager Scott French, will present a check for $51,000 to Brian Johnston, Executive Director of the Behind the Badge Foundation.

“Every day law enforcement works on behalf of our communities to serve and protect us all and we are honored to play a small part in helping survivors of line of duty tragedies and their families through the amazing work of the Behind the Badge Foundation,” said French. “Over the years Shoot for the Stars has become so much more than a one day event for us. It’s an important gathering that brings together our employees, partners, and community to show our pride and appreciation for those who sacrifice so much to serve.”

Local law enforcement representatives, business leaders, sponsors, donors and celebrities participated in this year’s Shoot for the Stars event, including Snohomish County Sheriff Adam Fortney, former Seattle Seahawks Alonzo Mitz and Randall Morris, former University of Washington (UW) football player and Green Bay Packer Mark Lee, former UW player, Kansas City Chief and member of the acapella quartet, The Main Attraction, Ronnie Rowland, former Mariner Brian Hunter, and Fox 13 news anchor and host of The Spotlight, a weekly show on crime and public safety issues in Western Washington, David Rose, among others.
