The Model 48-MAX can recognize and provide service to up to 750 individual radio users based on their unique DTMF ANI codes, and can further subdivide users into dispatch work groups using CTCSS tones and DCS codes.

The 48-MAX is available in three versions: Basic, Selcall, and Roamer. Each version has two end-to-end telephone inputs, a local telephone input, RS-232 port, internal modem, 99 autodials, enhanced toll restriction, PC-programmable database, and a full range of conversation timers with hog penalties.
