Network Your Radio and Telephone Systems for Wide-Area Coverage
A Radio Access Control System (RACS) network integrates all the elements of a communications system — radio channels, telephone lines, and Dispatch Control Stations — into a single, PBX-like environment that is easy for mobile workers to use.
RACS networks provide coverage over very wide areas and have been successfully applied in a broad range of industries including utilities, pipelines, telecommunications, forestry, natural resources, railroads, and emergency medical services.
The center of the RACS system is the Model 7032 Radio Dispatch Switch. The Model 7032 is an audio cross point switch — analogous to a small PABX or Telephone Central Office — which decodes caller commands and automatically connects the radio channels and telephone lines needed to complete the call.
RACS networks handle a variety of call types including individual unit selective calling, dispatch group calling, and multiparty conferencing. RACS also supports Model 7D+ Dispatch Control Stations which offer supervisory personnel expanded system access and features including long term monitoring, caller ID display, and “stacking” the ID’s of unanswered calls.
