Zetron’s IP FSA Ensures That Every Alert Gets Through

When the alerting system began to fail at Addison Fire Protection District (FPD) 1 in Addison, Illinois, they decided to replace it with Zetron’s IP Fire Station Alerting (IP FSA) system. Throughout the fall of 2007, Addison FPD worked with A Beep LLC and Zetron to install the new system. It went live in mid-December of 2007.

Addison firefighter and paramedic, John Sullivan, explains why they chose IP FSA: “IP FSA offered the features and functionality the district was looking for― better alerting, notifications of system problems, indications of alert success or failure. [It also brought] us into compliance with current National Fire Protection Association standards. Our firefighters are now alerted with the most reliable system available.”

Saudi Aramco’s Emergency System Features DCS-5020

Saudi Arabia’s national oil company, Saudi Aramco, recently decided to improve the emergency communication system they were using in their Riyadh Refinery Emergency Control Room. With the help of Baud Telecom Company (BTC), they installed Zetron’s DCS-5020 TETRA Digital Console System. 5 Ways Zetron Helps You Prepare for the Future
1. Use Zetron radio dispatch systems to migrate to digital radios.
Zetron’s Series 4000 allows you to dispatch to both analog and digital radios at the same time, which can improve interoperability. With Zetron’s Intelligent Radio Interface Module (iRIM), you can migrate to digital radio without having to replace your existing analog console with an expensive digital one.

2. Meet upcoming narrow-banding requirements.
FCC-mandated 12.5 kHz and 6.25 kHz narrow-banding requirements are on the horizon. With Zetron consoles, you can interface to legacy analog FM radios and digital, narrow-band radios. This allows you to migrate your entire radio system from analog to digital at your own pace.

3. Use Zetron consoles to conform to P25.
Zetron consoles can help you conform to P25 standards. This helps you qualify for federal P25 funds, improves your interoperability, provides a rich feature set, and gives you access to an open architecture, so you’re not limited to a single vendor. (See Zetron’s P25 Application Note for details.)

4. Get ready for Next-Gen 9-1-1 with the Series 3300.
Zetron's Series 3300 VoIP Call-Taking System is engineered not only to deliver the proven reliability and performance for which Zetron is known, but to support new 9-1-1 standards and technologies as they emerge. It's a system for the present that will carry you well into the future.

5. Upgrade your system as digital and IP technologies evolve.
 Zetron offers migration paths for:
 • Zetron radio dispatch systems
 • Zetron 9-1-1 call-taking systems
 • Zetron IP Fire Station Alerting
